Canadian Parliament Open After Shooting

The Canadian Parliament in Ottawa has once again resumed office after the shooting which occurred yesterday in the parliament leaving one soldier dead.
A moment of silence was observed minutes before the Prime minister, Stephen Harper took the stand to address the parliament on the events that happened yesterday.
He spoke in a very calm manner commending the members of the parliament on their response to the incident. He mentioned that anyone who felt physically or emotionally traumatized due to the stress they were put through yesterday, should make sure to see a physician for check-up.
Prime minister Harper further went on to thank well wishers and friends all over the world, including the President of the United States, Barrack Obama for their support during this period.
Harper, in conclusion stated that Canada will not be intimidated by this event. In his words, he said "we will be vigilant, we will not run scared".
Finally, he recognized all the people who put their lives in harms way to ensure the safety of citizens.
