Total's CEO dies in bizzarre plane crash

French Oil company Total's CEO died after his plane collided with a snowplow on the runway at Moscow international airport.
Russian officials said the snowplow's driver was inebriated. Along with CEO Christophe de Margerie, three other members of the plane's crew were also found dead at the scene of the accident.

Known for His trade mark bushy mustache, Mr De Margerie, who earned £2 million a year, had been the chief executive of Total for seven years. He dedicated his life to the promotion of the company all over the world and to his over 100,000 employees.
He was a scion of the Taittinger champagne dynasty who rose to become one of the most flamboyant characters in the international oil industry.
The oil boss had been in Moscow for a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at his country residence outside Moscow to discuss foreign investment in Russia.

Investigations have begun by Russian officials for other possible causes of the accident such as pilot and air traffic control error.
The death of the 63-year old was mourned by top leaders.
